Pricing

Kajabi pricing, plan by plan

Kajabi costs $179, $249 or $499 a month, or $143, $199 and $399 a month paid annually. Contacts are the dividing line at 2,500, 25,000 and 100,000, and funnels, landing pages and email sends are unlimited on all three. The figure most articles miss is the transaction fee: using your own Stripe costs an extra 0.5% to 2% of every sale.

Research-led reviewThe author has not used this product. Built from public sources. What this means

The author has not used this product. Everything here comes from six public sources: the maker's own site, its pricing and refund terms, its changelog, its support forum, counted complaints across recent public reviews, and a like-for-like comparison against the nearest alternatives. We never claim experience we do not have.

Which badge a page carries is enforced in the site build, not just in editing. A page cannot use first-hand language unless it has declared itself a real-use review, so the badge and the writing cannot drift apart. The full method

We earn a commission if you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you.How this works

You pay exactly what you would pay going direct. The maker pays us a share of their margin, not a surcharge on you.

We are never paid for a positive verdict, no maker sees a review before it publishes, and we publish verdicts recommending against products we could earn from. Commission rates never influence which products we cover or how we rank them. Full disclosure

Independent comparison. We are an affiliate of some platforms named here. We do not speak for Kajabi, and nothing on this page is an official statement by any of them. Figures come from each maker's own published pages on the date shown, and we correct them when they change.

The short version

  • The real entry price is $179, not the $89 many older articles still quote.
  • Unlimited funnels, landing pages and email sends on every tier. Contacts are the limit.
  • Bringing your own Stripe costs 0.5% to 2% per sale on top of the subscription.
  • A genuine 30 day no-questions refund, which is more than most of this category offers.

The three plans

Kajabi plans, read from kajabi.com/pricing on 3 September 2026
PlanMonthlyAnnual, per monthContactsProductsAdmin users
Basic$179$1432,50052
Growth$249$19925,0005011
Pro$499$399100,000Unlimited26

The step from Basic to Growth is the one most people make, and it is bought with contacts rather than features: 2,500 to 25,000, a tenfold jump for $70 a month. Products go from five to fifty at the same time, which matters if you sell several courses.

Pro at $499 exists for large operations and its distinguishing features are 26 admin users and three separate websites. If you are one person selling courses, it is not a tier you will need.

The catchUsing your own Stripe or PayPal costs 0.5% to 2% on top of the plan

The fee nobody mentions

0.5% to 2%of every sale, on top of the plan, if you process payments through your own Stripe or PayPal rather than Kajabi Payments.kajabi.com/pricing, checked 3 September 2026

This is the line that changes the arithmetic and it is missing from almost every article about Kajabi pricing. On Basic, running your own Stripe costs 2% of everything you sell. On Growth it is 1%, and on Pro it is 0.5%. Use Kajabi Payments instead and the platform fee disappears, but you pay their processing rate of 2.9% plus 30 cents, which is ordinary card pricing rather than a saving.

The practical effect is that Kajabi's cheapest plan is the one that penalises you most for bringing your own processor, exactly when you are smallest. Here is what a $10,000 sales month costs in platform fees alone across this category, card processing excluded because it applies everywhere.

Platform fees on a $10,000 sales month, cheapest plan of each
OnTransaction feePlus subscriptionTotal that month
Systeme.io free$0$0 plan$0
Systeme.io Startup$0$17 plan$17
ClickFunnels Launch$0$97 plan$97
Kajabi Basic, own Stripe$200$179 plan$379
Teachable Starter$750$39 plan$789
Read the Kajabi row against the Systeme.io ones. At $10,000 a month the difference between Kajabi Basic on your own Stripe and Systeme.io Startup is $362 a month, or $4,344 a year, before you have compared a single feature.

Annual billing

Monthly against annual
PlanMonthly for a yearPaid annuallyYou keep
Basic$2,148$1,716$432
Growth$2,988$2,388$600
Pro$5,988$4,788$1,200

Roughly 20% off across the board, so $432, $600 or $1,200 a year. That is a real discount, and unlike some platforms in this category Kajabi backs it with a refund policy, which makes committing early less risky than it usually is.

Trial and refund

Kajabi's own two properties disagree about the trial. Its pricing page advertises "1 month, on us", while its help centre states a maximum of 14 days with no extensions available. Both were read on 3 September 2026 and neither is marked as promotional or superseded, so plan for 14 and treat anything longer as a bonus. We set the conflict out in full on the Kajabi free trial page. A card is required either way, and its terms then promise a full no-questions-asked refund within 30 days of your first charge. After that window, payments are non-refundable and there is no credit for a partly used subscription.

That is a genuinely good position and worth crediting, because it is better than Systeme.io manages. Systeme.io publishes no refund policy at all, and refusal to refund is the single most repeated complaint in its public reviews, which we counted on the Systeme.io review.

The caveat is that a refund policy is only as good as the support team applying it, and that is where Kajabi's own reviews get uncomfortable. Billing disputes are the second most common complaint we counted across its low-star reviews, behind support itself. The Kajabi review has the full tally.

Teachable$39$1897.5% on entry, then 0%30 days

Kajabi is the most expensive way to sell a course among these, and it is not close. The question is therefore not whether it costs more, it is whether the polish is worth roughly ten times Systeme.io's entry price. For an established course business turning over serious money, a better student experience easily justifies $179. For someone launching a first course, it is a lot of money to spend before you know the offer works.

The comparisons that decide it are on Systeme.io vs Kajabi, Teachable vs Kajabi and Kajabi vs ClickFunnels.

Prove the offer before you spend $179 a month on it

Systeme.io's free plan runs a course with unlimited students and no transaction fee. If the course sells, Kajabi's polish becomes a sensible upgrade rather than a gamble.

The cheaper polished option

ClickFunnels costs $97 against Kajabi's $179, takes no cut of your sales, and has the better page builder. It is the weaker course platform, which is the trade.

Common questions

How much does Kajabi cost per month?

$179 for Basic, $249 for Growth and $499 for Pro. Paid annually those drop to $143, $199 and $399 a month, billed as $1,716, $2,388 and $4,788 a year. Older articles quoting $89 are out of date.

Does Kajabi charge transaction fees?

Yes, if you use your own payment processor. Third-party processing costs 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. Using Kajabi Payments instead removes the platform fee but charges 2.7% to 2.9% plus 30 cents as card processing.

Which Kajabi plan should I choose?

Basic if you have under 2,500 contacts and five or fewer products, which covers most people starting out. Growth is the usual next step, bought for the jump to 25,000 contacts. Pro only makes sense with a real team, since its distinguishing features are 26 admin users and three websites.

Does Kajabi have a free plan?

No, only a trial, and Kajabi’s own sources disagree on its length: the pricing page advertises a month while the help centre states 14 days with no extensions. A card is required, and their terms promise a full no-questions-asked refund within 30 days of your first charge. Systeme.io is the only platform in this category with a permanent free tier.

Can I get a refund from Kajabi?

Yes, within 30 days of your first charge, described in their terms as full and no-questions-asked. After that window all payments are non-refundable and there is no credit for partly used subscriptions.

Is Kajabi worth the price?

For an established course business, often yes, since the student experience is the most polished in this category. For a first course it is hard to justify $179 a month plus a transaction fee before you know the offer converts.
