Head to head

Systeme.io vs GoHighLevel

One question settles this: are you selling software to clients under your own brand? If yes, only GoHighLevel does that, because Systeme.io has no white labelling and no reselling at any tier. If no, Systeme.io does the same core work, funnels, email, courses and payments, from free, and GoHighLevel's $97 is buying agency infrastructure you will never switch on.

Research-led reviewThe author has not used this product. Built from public sources. What this means

The author has not used this product. Everything here comes from six public sources: the maker's own site, its pricing and refund terms, its changelog, its support forum, counted complaints across recent public reviews, and a like-for-like comparison against the nearest alternatives. We never claim experience we do not have.

Which badge a page carries is enforced in the site build, not just in editing. A page cannot use first-hand language unless it has declared itself a real-use review, so the badge and the writing cannot drift apart. The full method

We earn a commission if you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you.How this works

You pay exactly what you would pay going direct. The maker pays us a share of their margin, not a surcharge on you.

We are never paid for a positive verdict, no maker sees a review before it publishes, and we publish verdicts recommending against products we could earn from. Commission rates never influence which products we cover or how we rank them. Full disclosure

Independent comparison. We are an affiliate of some platforms named here. We do not speak for Systeme.io or HighLevel, and nothing on this page is an official statement by any of them. Figures come from each maker's own published pages on the date shown, and we correct them when they change.

The short version

  • These are not really competitors. One is sold to you, the other is sold through you.
  • Systeme.io does have sub-accounts, on its $97 tier. What it has no version of is white labelling.
  • GoHighLevel’s $97 is a platform fee. Systeme.io’s $0 and $17 are close to the whole bill.
  • Most people asking this question are one business, and should be on the free plan.

Notice that the wins are not on one side. GoHighLevel gives unlimited contacts where Systeme.io's free tier gives 2,000, and it has SMS where Systeme.io has none. Systeme.io gives unlimited email sending where GoHighLevel meters it. These are genuinely different products rather than a cheap one and an expensive one.

The one question

White labelis the real dividing line, not sub-accounts. Systeme.io's $97 tier does include sub-accounts, but nothing on any tier lets you put your own brand on the platform or resell it.Both makers' published plans, Systeme.io checked 2 September 2026 and HighLevel 3 September 2026

This is worth stating precisely, because most comparisons get it wrong. Systeme.io does have sub-accounts, on its $97 Unlimited tier, so a small agency can technically keep clients apart. What it has no version of, at any price, is white labelling: your clients see Systeme.io's brand, and you cannot resell the platform as your own product. If either of those matters, the comparison ends there.

If you are one business selling your own thing, the reverse applies with equal force. The $97 you would pay GoHighLevel is largely buying sub-accounts, white labelling, rebilling and SaaS mode, and a solo course seller uses none of them. You would be renting an apartment block to live in one flat.

Which are you?
If this is youThen
You resell software to clients under your own brandGoHighLevel. Systeme.io has no white label at any price
You keep a few client accounts apart, unbrandedEither. Systeme.io Unlimited at $97 has sub-accounts, and it is thin against a purpose-built agency platform
You sell a course, a service or a product of your ownSysteme.io. Start free and never pay until it works
You need to text or call leads automaticallyGoHighLevel. Systeme.io publishes no telephony feature
You email a large list oftenSysteme.io. Unlimited sends against a metered rate
You are not sure yetSysteme.io free. It costs nothing to find out, and switching later is normal

What the $97 actually buys

GoHighLevel plans, and who each is for
PlanMonthlySub-accountsBuilt for
Starter$973One business, or an agency with up to three clients
Unlimited$297UnlimitedAgencies past three clients who do not resell the platform
Agency Pro$497UnlimitedAgencies reselling the platform under their own brand

The important thing about that ladder is what it meters: clients, not usage. You move up it because you serve more businesses, which tells you plainly who it is priced for. Systeme.io's ladder meters contacts, because it is priced for one business whose list grows.

And GoHighLevel's $97 is not the bill. Calls, texts, phone numbers, emails and AI are all metered from a wallet that auto-recharges your card, with the rates on the phone system page. Systeme.io has no equivalent meter, which for someone who dislikes variable bills is worth more than a feature.

Where Systeme.io wins

Systeme.io plans
PlanMonthlyContactsEmail sends
FreeFree2,000Unlimited
Startup$175,000Unlimited
Webinar$4710,000Unlimited
Unlimited$97UnlimitedUnlimited

Three wins, and they are not small. The free plan is the obvious one: you can build a funnel, take real payments and run a course without paying anything, permanently, with no card. Nothing in GoHighLevel's world does that.

Unlimited email sending at every tier is the second, and it is the one people undervalue until they have a list. GoHighLevel meters email at $0.675 per 1,000, which is cheap but not nothing, and it is one more variable line.

The third is simply that it is a smaller thing to learn. GoHighLevel is roughly six products behind one login, and a steep learning curve is the single most reported problem in its public reviews, at 140 of the 651 we counted, ahead of everything else by a wide margin. Systeme.io can be understood in an afternoon.

The honest counterweight: Systeme.io's builder is described as dated in its own public reviews, it publishes no refund policy, and refusal to refund is the most repeated complaint we counted on the Systeme.io review. Neither of these platforms is the polished option. That is ClickFunnels, at $97, with a guarantee.

The decision

The verdict

These two are the clearest example on this site of a comparison where price is not the real question. If you are reselling under your own brand, $97 is cheap and nothing else does the job. If you are not, $97 is infinite, because free does the same work. Work out which of those you are before comparing anything else.

Choose Systeme.io if
You are one business, you want to start without paying, and you will never need to sell platform access under your own brand
Choose GoHighLevel if
You resell to clients under your own branding, or you need to text and call leads automatically
The tiebreaker
Start on Systeme.io free regardless. It costs nothing and it teaches you what you actually need
The trap
Paying $97 a month for white labelling and SaaS mode you never switch on

Start free, and find out what you actually need

Nothing to lose and nothing to cancel. If it turns out you need sub-accounts or SMS, you will know precisely why you are paying GoHighLevel, which is a much better position than guessing from a table.

Start free on Systeme.io

Affiliate link. We earn a commission if you later upgrade, at no extra cost to you. No card required, and the free plan does not expire.

If clients need their own logins

We earn from both platforms on this page. Sub-accounts and built-in SMS are the two things Systeme.io genuinely cannot do, and if you need either, this is the answer.

Start the GoHighLevel trial

Affiliate link. We earn a commission if you subscribe, at no extra cost to you. 30 day free trial through HighLevel's Bootcamp offer, card required.

If neither builder is good enough

The fair criticism of both platforms above is the page builder. ClickFunnels is the answer to that specific complaint, at the same $97 as GoHighLevel Starter and with a refund policy neither of the others publishes.

Start the ClickFunnels trial

Affiliate link. We earn a commission if you subscribe, at no extra cost to you. 14 day trial, then $97 a month with a 30 day money-back guarantee.

The wider picture is on agency CRM platforms if you serve clients, and sales funnel builders if you do not.

Common questions

Is Systeme.io a good GoHighLevel alternative?

For one business, yes, and it starts free. For an agency, only partly: Systeme.io’s $97 Unlimited tier does include sub-accounts, but it has no white labelling and no reselling at any tier, which is what GoHighLevel exists to provide.

Is GoHighLevel worth $97 over a free Systeme.io plan?

Only if you use what the $97 buys: white-labelled client accounts, built-in SMS and calling, and unlimited contacts. If you are one business selling your own offer and never text leads, you would be paying for infrastructure you never switch on.

Does Systeme.io have SMS like GoHighLevel?

No. Systeme.io publishes no SMS or calling feature at any tier. If automated texting is part of how you follow up leads, that gap is decisive and no price comparison changes it.

Which is cheaper overall?

Systeme.io, substantially. Its free plan is permanent and its top tier is $97, which is GoHighLevel’s entry price. GoHighLevel also meters calls, texts, numbers, email and AI from a wallet on top of the plan, so its real monthly cost is always above the sticker.

Can I run client accounts on Systeme.io?

Partly. The $97 Unlimited tier includes sub-accounts, so client data can be kept apart, and the free and cheaper tiers have none. What Systeme.io cannot do at any price is white labelling, so clients always see Systeme.io’s brand rather than yours.

Which has the better page builder?

Neither is the strong point. Systeme.io’s builder is described as dated in its own public reviews and GoHighLevel’s attracts similar criticism. If the page itself is what you are selling, ClickFunnels is materially better than both at the same $97.
