Pricing
Systeme.io pricing, plan by plan
Systeme.io costs nothing, $17, $47 or $97 a month, and $170, $470 or $970 paid annually. Contact limits are what the tiers advertise, but automation rules are the limit most people hit first: one on free, ten on Startup, a hundred on Webinar. No feature is ever locked behind a tier, and there are no usage meters underneath the price.
Research-led reviewThe author has not used this product. Built from public sources. What this means
The author has not used this product. Everything here comes from six public sources: the maker's own site, its pricing and refund terms, its changelog, its support forum, counted complaints across recent public reviews, and a like-for-like comparison against the nearest alternatives. We never claim experience we do not have.
Which badge a page carries is enforced in the site build, not just in editing. A page cannot use first-hand language unless it has declared itself a real-use review, so the badge and the writing cannot drift apart. The full method

You pay exactly what you would pay going direct. The maker pays us a share of their margin, not a surcharge on you.
We are never paid for a positive verdict, no maker sees a review before it publishes, and we publish verdicts recommending against products we could earn from. Commission rates never influence which products we cover or how we rank them. Full disclosure
The short version
- One flat price. No per-email, per-contact or per-message meter running underneath it.
- Automation rules, not contacts, are what usually forces the upgrade.
- Annual is ten months for twelve on every tier, the same two-month discount throughout.
- No refund policy is published anywhere, which is the strongest argument for paying monthly.
The four plans
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Contacts | Funnels | Automation rules | Domains |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | Free | 2,000 | 3 | 1 | 1 |
| Startup | $17 | $170 | 5,000 | 10 | 10 | 3 |
| Webinar | $47 | $470 | 10,000 | 50 | 100 | 10 |
| Unlimited | $97 | $970 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
The important column is the one on the right, not the one on the left. Every plan includes the entire feature set, so what you are buying at each step is headroom.
| Included everywhere | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Unlimited email sends | No send limit and no per-email charge on any plan, free included. This is the headline difference against almost every rival. |
| Unlimited file storage | No cap on what you upload to your pages. |
| Unlimited students | Course platforms usually meter this. Systeme.io does not, at any tier. |
| 0% transaction fees | Through Stripe or PayPal. You still pay the processor, but Systeme.io takes nothing on top. |
| Your own affiliate program | Run and pay affiliates from inside the platform, on the free plan. |
| The full feature set | No module is locked behind a tier. Paying more raises limits, it never unlocks tools. |
What decides your tier
The marketing sorts the plans by contact count, and that is a fair headline but a poor predictor. Two thousand contacts is a lot for someone starting out and they will sit on the free plan comfortably for months. One automation rule is not a lot for anybody.
A single rule covers one thing: tag a new subscriber and start one sequence. The moment you want a second offer, an abandoned-cart follow-up, or a different sequence for buyers than for browsers, you are on Startup at $17. That is still cheap, but it arrives sooner than the contact limit suggests.
| If you are | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Testing one offer, list under 2,000 | Free | Three funnels and one sequence is enough to validate something. Pay nothing. |
| Selling a course with a couple of sequences | Startup, $17 | Ten automation rules covers buyers, browsers and a follow-up. The usual first paid step. |
| Running evergreen webinars, or several offers | Webinar, $47 | A hundred rules and fifty funnels. Most people buy this for the rules, not the webinars. |
| Managing brands or clients separately | Unlimited, $97 | The only tier with sub-accounts, and the only one with no caps to plan around. |
Find your tier without paying for it
Build on the free plan until a specific limit stops you. The limit that stops you tells you which tier to buy, which is a better method than guessing from a table.

The error on their own page
Worth knowing before you buy, because it affects the tier you choose. On the Systeme.io pricing page the Startup plan card says "up to 10 funnels". Further down the same page, their own FAQ says the Startup plan has "unlimited funnels".
Those cannot both be right. The plan cards are the more specific and more recently structured of the two, and they match the pattern of the other tiers, so we would treat ten as the real number and the FAQ as out of date. But if unlimited funnels is the reason you are picking Startup over free, confirm it in your account before you commit, and screenshot the answer.
Annual billing
| Plan | Monthly for a year | Paid annually | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Startup | $204 | $170 | $34 |
| Webinar | $564 | $470 | $94 |
| Unlimited | $1164 | $970 | $194 |
Two months free on every tier, so $34, $94 or $194 a year. That is a genuine saving and it is the same proportion at every level, which at least makes it easy to reason about.
We would still pay monthly to begin with, and the reason is the next section rather than the maths. Committing a year to a platform with no published refund policy is a different risk from committing a year to one with a thirty day guarantee, and $34 is not much to pay for the option to walk away.
Cancelling and refunds
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Is there a free trial | There is no time-limited trial, because there is a free plan that never expires and needs no card. That is the trial, and it is a better one than most. |
| What happens if you cancel | The account drops to the free plan rather than closing. Nothing is deleted at that point. |
| What happens to contacts over the limit | Contacts above the free plan’s 2,000 are archived, not deleted. Reactivate a paid plan and they come back. |
| Can you downgrade mid-term | Yes, plans change from account settings at any time. |
| Is there a refund policy | None is published on the pricing page, and refusal to refund is the single most repeated complaint in public reviews. Treat an annual plan as non-refundable. |
The downgrade behaviour is genuinely reassuring: cancelling drops you to the free plan rather than closing the account, and contacts over the 2,000 limit are archived rather than deleted. Very few platforms in this category handle it that gracefully.
The refund position is the opposite. Nothing is published, and it is the most common theme in the low-star reviews we counted for the full review. Since the free plan removes almost all the reason to pay early, the practical advice writes itself: start free, upgrade monthly when something specific stops you, and only go annual once you have been paying happily for a while.
Still working out what the platform is for? The explainer comes before any of this. And if you are reading a pricing page because you are weighing up promoting it, the affiliate program pays 60% of every figure in the tables above, recurring for as long as the referral stays.
Comparing against the paid alternative
ClickFunnels starts where Systeme.io's top tier ends, at $97 a month, and buys a materially better page builder. The comparison is on our head to head page.

Common questions
How much is Systeme.io per month?
Free, $17, $47 or $97 depending on tier. Paid annually those become $170, $470 and $970, which works out at two months free on every plan. There are no usage charges on top of the plan price.
Does Systeme.io have hidden fees?
No. Email sending, file storage and students are unlimited on every plan, and payments through Stripe or PayPal carry 0% platform fee. What you see on the pricing page is the whole bill, which is unusual in this category.
Which Systeme.io plan should I choose?
Start free. Upgrade when a specific limit stops you, and the limit is usually automation rules rather than contacts. Most people who outgrow free land on Startup at $17, and only agencies managing separate brands need the $97 Unlimited tier.
Is the Systeme.io annual plan worth it?
It saves two months, so $34 to $194 a year. Worth taking once you have used the platform happily for a few months. Not worth taking on day one, because no refund policy is published and the discount is small next to a year of commitment.
Can I downgrade my Systeme.io plan?
Yes, at any time from account settings. Downgrading or cancelling reverts you to the free plan rather than closing the account, and contacts above the 2,000 free limit are archived rather than deleted.
Does Systeme.io charge per email sent?
No. Email sending is unlimited on every plan including the free one, with no per-send or per-contact email charge. This is the single biggest difference from most rivals, who meter sends as well as contacts.
