A2P 10DLC registration in GoHighLevel
Registering costs about $24.50 one-off for a sole proprietor or low volume sender, or $71.91 for high volume with secondary vetting, then $1.50 to $10 a month per campaign. Carrier fees of roughly $0.003 per message apply forever on top of your SMS rate. None of this is optional: US carriers reject unregistered application-to-person traffic.

The author has not used this product. Everything here comes from six public sources: the maker's own site, its pricing and refund terms, its changelog, its support forum, counted complaints across recent public reviews, and a like-for-like comparison against the nearest alternatives. We never claim experience we do not have.
Which badge a page carries is enforced in the site build, not just in editing. A page cannot use first-hand language unless it has declared itself a real-use review, so the badge and the writing cannot drift apart. The full method

You pay exactly what you would pay going direct. The maker pays us a share of their margin, not a surcharge on you.
We are never paid for a positive verdict, no maker sees a review before it publishes, and we publish verdicts recommending against products we could earn from. Commission rates never influence which products we cover or how we rank them. Full disclosure
The short version
- Registration is a carrier requirement, not a HighLevel one. Every platform charges it.
- Each additional campaign under the same brand is $15 one-off, so keep campaigns few.
- The monthly fee varies more than sixfold by use case, from $1.50 to $10.
- Carrier fees are per message and never stop, which makes them the real long-run cost.

What it costs
| What you are paying for | One-off |
|---|---|
| Sole Proprietor, brand plus campaign vetting plus fast track | $24.50 |
| Low Volume Standard, same bundle | $24.50 |
| High Volume Standard, includes secondary vetting | $71.91 |
| Each additional campaign under the same brand | $15.00 |
The two small numbers are the same, which is the useful thing to notice. A sole proprietor and a low volume standard brand both pay about $24.50 for brand registration, campaign vetting and fast track together. The jump to $71.91 buys secondary vetting and the throughput that goes with high volume, and most agencies starting out do not need it.
The line worth planning around is the last one. Every extra campaign under the same brand is another $15, and campaigns are easy to create thoughtlessly, one per client or one per offer. Consolidating into fewer, broader campaigns saves real money and reduces the number of things that can be rejected.
Which brand type you are
| If you are | Register as |
|---|---|
| A one-person business with no EIN | Sole Proprietor. Lowest fee, lowest throughput, and the daily message cap is real. |
| A registered company sending modest volume | Low Volume Standard. Same one-off cost, higher limits, needs an EIN. |
| An agency sending on behalf of many clients | High Volume Standard, at $71.91, which includes the secondary vetting carriers want to see. |
| A registered charity | The 501(c)(3) use case, at $3 a month rather than $10. |
The monthly fee
| Use case | Monthly |
|---|---|
| Sole Proprietor Starter | $2.00 / month |
| Low Volume Mixed | $1.50 / month |
| Standard campaign use cases | $10.00 / month |
| Charity, 501(c)(3) | $3.00 / month |
| Emergency services | $5.00 / month |
A standard campaign at $10 a month is nearly seven times the low volume mixed rate. For an agency running one campaign this is background noise. For an agency that created a separate campaign per client, it is $10 each, every month, forever, and that is how a compliance line item quietly becomes a hundred dollars.

Carrier fees, forever
| Carrier | SMS | MMS |
|---|---|---|
| AT&T | $0.003 | $0.0075 |
| T-Mobile | $0.003 | $0.001 |
| Verizon | $0.003 | $0.005 |
| US Cellular | $0.005 | $0.01 |
Registration fees are a one-off annoyance. Carrier fees are the real cost, because they scale with everything you send. At 5,000 messages a month they add $15, which is more than the campaign fee and roughly 40% on top of the base segment rate. Our phone system page works a full month's usage with these included.
One caution about the numbers in the table above. HighLevel's phone pricing guide publishes higher carrier fees than this article does, $0.0035 to $0.0045 against the flat $0.003 here, and neither document is marked as superseded. The phone system page uses the higher set and shows both side by side. Budget on the higher one.
MMS is where the carriers diverge sharply, from $0.001 on T-Mobile to $0.01 on US Cellular, a tenfold spread. If picture messaging is central to what you send, that spread is worth modelling against your actual audience rather than averaging.
Getting approved
| Problem | What carriers want instead |
|---|---|
| Opt-in not visible on a public page | A live URL showing the exact form, with the consent checkbox and wording, reachable without a login |
| Sample messages that do not match the use case | Real message text including your business name and clear opt-out wording |
| No STOP handling described | Explicit confirmation that STOP, HELP and opt-out are handled |
| Company details not matching official records | Legal name, EIN and address exactly as registered, character for character |
| Website that does not mention SMS at all | A privacy policy and terms page that reference message frequency and data use |
Almost every rejection is a mismatch rather than a judgement. Carriers are checking that the brand you describe, the website you cite and the messages you send are recognisably the same business. Getting the legal name wrong by a punctuation mark is enough to fail.
Budget days rather than hours. Registration is not instant, and a rejected submission has to be corrected and resubmitted, which is why it is worth starting before you need to send rather than the week of a launch.
The most common reason a trade needs this registration is an automated reply to missed calls, which will silently fail to deliver without it. That feature is covered on missed call text back.
Registration happens inside the account
A2P submission lives in the sub-account settings, so the trial is where to start the process if a launch date is driving this. It takes days, not minutes.

Systeme.io sends no SMS, so there is nothing to register, no campaign fee and no carrier pass-through. If SMS is a nice-to-have rather than the channel your business runs on, that is a genuine simplification.

Common questions
How much does A2P 10DLC registration cost in GoHighLevel?
About $24.50 one-off for a sole proprietor or low volume standard brand, covering brand registration, campaign vetting and fast track. High volume standard costs $71.91 and includes secondary vetting. Each additional campaign under the same brand is $15.
What is the monthly A2P fee?
It depends on the use case: $1.50 for low volume mixed, $2 for sole proprietor starter, $3 for a registered charity, $5 for emergency services and $10 for standard campaign use cases. The fee is per campaign, so several campaigns multiply it.
Is A2P registration optional?
No, not for US numbers. Carriers filter or reject unregistered application-to-person traffic, so messages either fail to deliver or are heavily throttled. The requirement comes from the carriers rather than from HighLevel, and applies on every platform.
Why was my A2P registration rejected?
Usually a mismatch rather than a judgement: a legal name or EIN that does not exactly match official records, an opt-in form that is not publicly reachable, sample messages that do not match the stated use case, or no visible STOP and HELP handling. Correct the mismatch and resubmit.
Should I register as a sole proprietor?
Only if you have no EIN. The fee is the same as low volume standard, the throughput cap is much tighter, and moving up later means registering again rather than upgrading. If you have an EIN, register as a standard brand.
Do carrier fees ever stop?
No. Unlike registration, carrier pass-through fees are charged per message for as long as you send, at roughly $0.003 for SMS on the major carriers. At volume they are a larger cost than registration and the monthly campaign fee combined.
